TYLER MAXWELL GORDON

TYLER MAXWELL GORDON

Tyler Maxwell Gordon, a teen art prodigy, is a native of Jose California. Tyler is using his talents to further bring awareness about the effects and aspects of bullying. Tyler has used the painful accounts of bullying to influence the development of his ability to paint beautiful, life-like portraits. Tyler is the founder and CEO of Tongue Tye’d, Inc. where the mission of the company is to help kids find their voice through art. With growing confidence in his path in life, Tyler has become a voice and an advocate for children with speech impediments. In addition, Tyler is very passionate about social issues and equality for all people; social injustice against people of color; worldwide healing of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) as associated with coronavirus, and the values of family.
Tyler has an “at home” mentor in the origin of his mother, Ms. Nicole Kindle. During an interview, Tyler shared that he would watch his mother paint portraits- upside down, in admiration of her talent. Through watching her, he began to teach himself how to paint portraits. Around the age of 10, Tyler had perfected what he had learned through watching his mother. Today, Tyler is proficient enough to teach his expression of modern-day Basquiat style painting to others how to paint, through his Wednesday live class via Instagram.

Most recently, Tyler painted a portrait of Vice President-Elect, Kamala Harris, which went viral with the help of his social media followers. The image of the portrait reached Vice President-Elect Harris and she called to thank Tyler on Thanksgiving Day. Notably, such a distinguished moment further propelled Tyler’s young career. In the month of December 2020, Tyler was also recognized as “Time ‘Kid of Year’” by Time and Nickelodeon, where he won second place out of thousands of children considered, for such an honor. Tyler painted the “Time ‘Athlete of the Year’”, a portrait of NBA Star, LeBron James, that became the cover page of Time magazine. From December 1st to January 31st, 2021, Tyler’s works of art will be featured at Beverly Center in part of “The Lost Warhol’s; Heirs to the Throne: An Art Show Experience”. Tyler’s artwork is also featured in a virtual art gallery, entitled “The Icon Collection”, for a limited time review.
In addition to the phenomenal accomplishments, Tyler has had countless interviews and special appearances highlighting his talent, business concepts, and public speaking opportunities. He has graced front page newspapers and magazine articles; he has appeared on Good Morning America, The Steve Harvey Show, and other talk shows; and he continues to build a committed fan-base of followers to include, former First Daughter, Chelsea Clinton, and many other celebrities through social media platforms.
